I'm not great at writing but recently I read a book that made me reflect on feelings and things I've done. This paragraph is about a time I experienced serenity. Now this may not be very well written and probably jumps around a bit but I thought it would be neat if you shared a time when you experienced serenity. How long has it been? I'd love to hear about it!

When I go to Alaska to see mom I love to go adventuring to the mountains or some trail into the woods. Nature is so peaceful but so dominate and could take advantage of me any way it wishes. It is a nice escape form my normal day. I receive a feeling when I’m out there, serenity. When I’m experiencing this I don’t think about the situations that normally weigh heavy on my mind. All I can focus on are the sounds of the birds flying by with busy agendas, the current of the ocean slamming into the rock walls as the tide rushes in, Trees brushing against each other collecting the chilly ocean breeze, the occasional moist dirt that my boot sinks into. What I focus on is the surrounding business of the forest. It’s a loud that I find most relaxing and at peace. There is so much opportunity and unknown that make it a great escape. I start to feel normal and naturally high and I can finally relax. The world is so much bigger than me and my problems and it starts to make me feel small. My problems feel small and I want to get to work. Hard physical labor that puts me right to sleep at night. I want to sweat out my frustrations and do work that no person has ever done. Work that some people aren’t capable of doing. I want to sit around a camp fire and listen to stories of personal success and achievements. Stories about failing and turning that failure into a hard but rewarding learning process. My time in Seward Alaska made me feel at peace and was absolutely one of the best times I had in Alaska. Serenity is something I don’t experience often but it is so damn awesome to encounter. I am finally breathing.
